I have to share this.
Bought a Hyway 460 cylinder to make into a bit of a hybrid fun saw on an 044.

Very interesting port shapes on the cylinder.
Plaiting and finish is otherwise great but it's gunna need some metal removed ha ha

It's ported to the same numbers as it but it's on a 064

I complained and they told me they would send me another.
They emailed me the next day saying all their stock was like it and the mould needed to be rebuilt.

I got my money back.

Still going to use it and will be fine once I grind it to shape

The 660 boot squished up and ended up half closed off so I ran with the 044 boot

It's 4 stroking same as a 661
It was tuned slow and couldn't clean up.

Taking the advance away like on Rodney's saw will make it stop but only because it's not as strong so it's not on the limiter.

You can leave the advance and close some muffler outlet off and it will stop but again it's because it's not as strong and ain't on the limiter.

Listen when I lift in the 3rd cut,it's not popping it's just 4 stroking,just sounds different from other saws.

It's sitting on the bench half constructed along with several other saws.
I got it together but it ran like it had a nasty air leak and I found the bearing spacer the worm gear rides on was cracked

Have ordered another one

I do these very VERY part time so cant turn em over like you do Jay...... wish I could
