I have some old 2 series huskies that have good coils but bad wires, etc. I was going to splice wires on with solder, sealant, heat shrink, new connectors. I want good quality wires and connectors, can someone recommend a good brand/supplier? I suspect @Stump Shot will ;-) Thanks

I replace with Husqvarna/Stihl as it isn't worth my time trying to recreate these wires what with all the specialty fittings on the ends and whatnot.
Sorry I couldn't be of help. :(

Are you talking kill switch or spark plug wire or both? Does the plug wire unthread or do you have to splice it somehow?

90 deg. heat shrinkable female spades can be found at Terminal Supply houses David. That's what alot of the old 200 series use. If you are buying heat shrink tubing get the adhesive lines tubes unless you are running through flywheel cover shroud routing clips, then it is too heavy. Hope this helps.

I will hunt the internets…my main concern is getting quality stuff that doesn’t melt first time I spill gas on it.

@Shane¹ the main thing is splicing new wires onto two piece 61/266/268 ignitions.

Haven’t gotten around to ordering quality components yet. Came up with this temp fix for chafed areas. Professional 3m electrical tape. Clean wire with carb cleaner or whatever. Don’t touch any of the surface that has adhesive. Get one wrap on the wire and then pull and twist the wire and roll the tape on tight. I heated it a little after to get the adhesive warm and gooey and pinched it on there tight too. 375C67DF-CE77-42E1-B440-2BCAC7C1570F.jpeg
