I dont know stihl saws in and out. Just telling what I just saw with last 2 I rebuilt.

Drf Doc or whatever he goes by would see lot more of these to see what he is seeing IMO.

Pic online right now FS. Even ole lakeside talks about them back in 2008.
He worked for stihl dealer in PNW. Used to get square files from him etc back then.

I never knew the difference myself, but seeing postings here made me speak up.
I just knew there was plastic and metal ones and adjustable and non adjustable. Never thought anything of it.

Some of the 026 non adjustable oiler saws have markings on the case showing how to adjust the oiler and some don't. They built this saw for about 10 years so there were several changes along the way. I have two and they're my favorite Stihl. Had one since new and it was an early version.

I stand corrected. I hadn't seen the plastic non adjustable ones before.

I think the overwhelming majority of the cases for the 026s have the screw hole for the adjustable oiler even though they have the fixed oiler.

Not at all. The fixed is also metal, the adjustable oiler is plastic.

I have a 026 pro here right now on the bench. Bought new and has everything original. metal pump and adjustable.

So now we all know they can come any which way. plastic fixed and metal adjustable too.
