I appreciate the heads up, but I actually downsized to just the one a few years ago. I used to have 3 of them. I'm not even sure how many my Dad has, but it's probably a dozen or so.

Do you have any guess what they go for by you? I remember when you could barely get 50 bucks for one, but last I saw, around here, people were paying 3-400 bucks for nicer ones. That was a couple years ago.

I suspect your estimates isn’t far off. I haven’t seen one sell. I will put that one on my watch list & see what it brings.

I was looking at those but decided on barge box wagons with hydraulic dump.

Pretty sure shipping on that one would be a bit steep.

In my experience with enclosed trailers they end up used as storage & are never available for use as an enclosed transport trailer.

Was out back Saturday found a new pile of Ash the wood fairy left sometime last week. Most of the diameters are over 16" and the bulk of the logs around 14ft long. Did a little bucking with out pulling the pile apart, there is a much as shown plus off the back side of the pile. Then the rain came and ended my fun. Some of the pieces were close to 30" diameter on the back side, bucked and quartered those, get the tractor out tonight and transport to splitting pile. Most of it was dead standing so depending on what my meter reads, moisture wise, it might be usable this winter.

the wood fairy and minion, this particular load (3-2025) was mostly red oak, couple 36" x4ft chunks of pine- i can slash those down to pallet planks. Tossing some off the load -too heavy for the hydro to lift

Ash splits rather easily when green, especially in the fall. After splitting, it will usually dry fast enough to burn within six months. Great collection from the ash "wood fairy." Ash is about the best firewood you can cut, split, season, and burn. Cheers!

Someone had a standing dead tree taken down, and just wanted the wood gone. Probably less than a cord, but it's going to be ready to go this winter. It's pretty dry.

Elm that was dropped off yesterday just as I pulled in with the pickup load. Got it and 3/4 of the pickup blocked up and moved to the backyard for splitting. Guessing in the range of 2+ cords sitting in the back for splitting.

As you probably already know, if you cut logs to length and wait a few months until the elm checks up on the ends, the logs will split much easier. That paper birch will split almost immediately. Nice freebees, Stephie!
