My random Stihl nut &bolts pile has been drastically reduced of late, hence the order :p. Husky stuff? Got plenty of pretty much everything 🤣
I'm surprised....usually it is the Husky saws that are missing a handful of screws.

I thought it was odd. With all of the huge amounts of money spent by the New York police, the FBI, and everyone else, using all the resources available, including AI, the suspect in the CEO killing was turned in by a minimum wage worker at McDonald’s.

Even grew a unibrow in the last few days too. Impressive! I don't believe they caught the guy. Wouldn't want folks to know that getting away with it is possible now would we? Might give people ideas.

Everytime I order from Daytona I add a bunch of hardware to the list. We no longer have a Stihl dealer so that is the best option

The market for small engine parts/projects is much smaller in northern Wisconsin than central Wisconsin I’m finding. In Merrill I could sell projects that I didn’t find worth fixing or were better off being used for parts pretty easily. In St. Germain no one else is into this stuff and I only have luck selling operable stuff.

Yeah, I'm in a repair "desert" around here too. No one repairs anything, it all ends up on the street before it goes to the dump. Sad, but we have a group of people that understand the "consume and discard" culture, but not the "use and repair" culture.

Not to mention, manufacturer's have made it harder and harder to repair things as there is no money in parts, but good margins in new products.

None of the schools around here have shop class anymore ... what a shame!

I try to teach my grandkids woodworking, engine repair and reloading, but everyone is "so busy" it is not easy!

I also try to take them sleigh riding every year, and I break out my Flexible Flyers! My old beat up one, that I have owned since I was about 5, always is the fastest and goes the furthest. I don't wax the runners or anything, just take it off the hooks on the ceiling of my garage.

The good thing about living in an area like I do currently is everyone has so much money and is so nice that they give away stuff all the time, even working mowers when they buy a new one. On the other hand there’s still plenty of cheap stiff available in Merrill, just more competition in the buyers world.

Sad times…our HS had big auto and wood shops as well as courses in all trades. And, since Merced was a farming community, a full AG dept. The Jr College had all those but more extensive training for specific fields.
I doubt any of those are still there 😕

In town I live in High school has auto shop and also have "Building Trades class". I guess its the school that buys home lots and the Building Trades teacher and the students build a house from ground up. They sell it and put profit in the pot so they can buy more lots to build again. The teacher is a carpenter by trade and they do what they can do, but they hire qualified tradesman, concrete, plumbing, electric etc. to work on the house.
The qualified tradesman do their work and let students help and teach kids a little about their trade. I am a plumber and worked for a contractor that was a part of this.
