Strict 7 pin here too.
Try a chain just shy of the witness mark, or even past it (triangle tooth) - those just sink through a bucking cut.
Narrower kerf, less chips to remove, less PH power loss.
I have 4 work chains past the witness mark right now, two of them 24" 84DL.
Awesome! I like that too, the wotness mark. That's good

Sorting through some chains I purchased months ago.
Box says one thing, still welded shut bag doesn't say anything but clearly holds something completely different.
I guess I have to cut the bag open to make certain what I have!
Come on Oregon, is it too much to ask for info printed on the bag?!

Kinda fun though.
I figured out I have .325" chains I didn't knew I had.
I already purchased a Husqvarna X-Cut .325" that I didn't have to get after all.

Hi Wilhelm, is it Stihl or Oregon that print noting on the bag,
my Oregon chains have writing on the bags.

Oregon chain, absolutely no specs on the pouch.
It is a semi-chisel chain, 3/8" .058" 72DL, has a big "M" stamped on the cutters sides.

Other Oregon, Dolmar, Carlton chains I own have the loops specs or part number written in the pouch.
Oddly enough this one does not.

It is a loop I can utilize, semi-chisel will do fine for bucking dirty skidded firewood logs.
3/8" .058" 72DL is also my most used bar spec, so it turned out to be a good purchase.

Discovering a couple semi-chisel loops in this aged chain batch purchase actually means I have no need to buy any cheapo chains.
Win-win!!!

Yeah, it isn't if I have to shake it though! ;)
The oil has been added by injecting into the fuel from a measuring syringe.
