Sound is a very interesting topic. It could be from slight differences in the mufflers or engine covers, or perhaps exhaust timing, just my guesses.

Why do people call it "blades" and not bars? Where did that all start? Lol
It all starts with crosscut saws, which were "installed" on drag saws. The long steel cutting part was a saw "blade", so when chain saws replaced drag saws, the long steel "cutting part" was still called a blade. Or, think of a circular saw/sawzall/jigsaw/bandsaw. The removable cutting part is called a "blade" and as a chainsaw is still a saw the removable cutting part is called a blade, right?

Husqvarna Intensive Cut round file generates a sharper tooth than a Stihl round file - love it.
No more Stihl round files for me!

The Intensive Cut file is smooth and takes a bite with minimal pressure.
I sharpened 6 chains today, no file sharpness deterioration yet.

But, is the chain sharp?

It's become a pet peave to me now when someone asks about a chainsaws "blade". I suppose it resembles a sword's blade edge. Oh that reminds me, I've heard them called a sword too... erk, I've now annoyed myself.

Sword is a Swedish “translation to English thing”. Something got lost there

Got a part number for that file?

Scandinavia uses “sword” mostly about bars. I’ve never heard it described in any other way.

Anyone else notice how the laser etched file angle marks on chainsaw teeth are uneven?
My understanding is that those are actually witness marks marking the chains safe end of life.

I didn't notice uneven witness mark angles on my EXL's and those are the only ones I have that are laser etched.

Got a part number for that file?
From the official UK Husqvarna pdf catalog:
4.0mm ; 5/32" – 2 pack , 510 09 57-01
4.0mm ; 5/32" – 12 pack , 510 09 57-02
4.5mm ; 11/64" – 2 pack , 577 23 37-01
4.8mm ; 3/16" – 2 pack , 510 09 55-01
4.8mm ; 3/16" – 12 pack , 510 09 55-02
5.5mm ; 7/32" – 2 pack , 510 09 56-01
5.5mm ; 7/32" – 12 pack , 510 09 56-02

From the official Croatian Husqvarna website:
4.0mm ; 5/32" – 2 pack , 510 09 57-01
4.0mm ; 5/32" – 3 pack , 597 35 48-01
4.0mm ; 5/32" – 12 pack , 510 09 57-02
4.5mm ; 11/64" – 2 pack , 577 23 37-01
4.5mm ; 11/64" – 3 pack , 597 35 55-01
4.8mm ; 3/16" – 2 pack , 510 09 55-01
4.8mm ; 3/16" – 3 pack , 597 35 58-01
4.8mm ; 3/16" – 12 pack , 510 09 55-02
5.2mm ; 13/64" – 12 pack , 577 23 38-01
5.5mm ; 7/32" – 2 pack , 510 09 56-01
5.5mm ; 7/32" – 3 pack , 597 35 61-01
5.5mm ; 7/32" – 12 pack , 510 09 56-02

The cardboard box I have is for 4.0mm/ 5/32" files and it says clearly "6pcs" on it but has no part number.
There is a dealer sticker on the box and it says 4.0mm 12pcs , part number 597 35 48-02

I purchased single files, one of each diameter, they cost all the same - about 2.5$ a piece, basically the same I pay for Oregon and Stihl round files.

I've seen it on Stihl and even EXL. The line is in not in the same place or angle on each tooth. Some seem too far back or too far forward. Maybe the means of aligning the teeth for marking is not precise. Maybe the teeth are highly variable in actual size. But to still get different angles, which the angle is my main concern. For a while I thought my file guides were wrong, but I still get the same result when filing without a guide and judging the angles by eye both to the other teeth and to the marks on each tooth.

I have to sharpen all my blades so when I stick 'em on my swords I'll be ready to slice wood.

The only witness marks I ever noticed were when that guy tried to beat me up for testifying against him in court. He still has "witness marks" from the scars...
