Rod storage pieces on boat were cracked where they attach to trak bracket. Made some new ones out of some king starboard I had already. Need to clean them some more. May pick up a plastic welder at a later junction and try to fix the old ones just to have on hand.
Since the original is HDPE I can use a scrap of the white to fill in the cracks. I didn't think of using a soldering iron for heat and I have a butane one that should put out enough to try. Thanks for the info.It might not be as pretty, but if you can get the appropriate plastic to use as filler, you can do the same thing with a larger electric soldering gun. I fixed a handle on my Dolmar 111 like that. Body shop at work has a plastic welder thats been used once..
Ok, so a proud and overjoyed post while also being humbled. I got home from work to find they helped me get the overwhelming part of getting my work space cleaned up for me to keep fixing and repairing saws and other stuff again. Wish I would have thought to take a before picture, it was a real disaster. You could barely enter my disaster, it had turned into tornado damage or a bomb had exploded.
We don't have a shop, so this is what I got instead. Aren't I a lucky guy? Beats the heck out of working on the front step like I had been.Holy chit! They let you work inside!
Im banned to the shop...![]()
Haven't had a car like that in a while, knock on wood. Did another hd today and have another one Monday. That’ll be 5 bikes in a little over a month. Last guy came in and couldn’t pass the test, blew hot. Here’s your sign buddy..

The weather hacks were calling for sunny and 80 this past Thursday, so I took a vaca day to go riding. We woke to very thick fog so we waited till about 11:30 and headed out to a favorite BBQ joint. You guys still have that much time left to be on 2?
We are done here. Into the 20's at night. It's been snowing and I saw the city was treating roads a few days ago.
The scoot is now banished to the garage until spring and the road regains grip.

350 round trip. On the ride back it got down to about 64-65 in some spots. Stopped to say hello to some bison. It was one last who-rah for warm weather. Highs aren’t expected to go much above 60 for a while, but still rideable weather.
It's real good BBQ. Ribs this time you could tell sat a little but they were still really good. Brisket was as always, excellent. Chicken is awesome but the breast/white meat was a little dry. The pig wings... oh the pig wings! They are fantastic! They are little miniature ham hocks that are smoked. A bit pricey @ 8.99 for 3, but they are gooood! We took 6 home and had them the next evening for supper. I personally think it's worth it, but we wanted to go for an all day ride. I'd not do it in a cage.Wolverine, Dat Mike's worth the ride?? Meat looks delicious!! Are they open 6 or 7 days. That's about the same round trip.for me. Very doable. May even squeeze a Cabela's stop in.
