The Chevro-hemi is a Canadian National rail truck.
Plugged tire was on a used Traverse. I had a bet with another guy our used sales manager would have the tire flipped so the plug was on the inside. Surprisingly, and for the good, I lost.
Weld job was on a truck that the guy decided mufflers were for pussies and learning to actually weld was overrated..
Air filter was original out of a farm truck with 48k on it..maintenance is overrated too.

I've done a good number of welds that looked similar . It really stinks when you have a crappy 120 mig with a poor power source or a stick welder that you only have 20 yr old rod that's been sitting on a shelf in a coffee can to work with lol.

lol.
First time I welded with an arc welder I was wondering what the thing was coming at me while welding, I finished up and then hit it once with the chisel/hammer, the slag was 95% removed, asked my shop teacher what he thought and he took it to the bench grinder and hit it with the wire wheel, went to the drill press and drilled a hole in it, then hung it up by the welding booths and wrote "Perfect Weld" :campeon:.
Now if I could just do that 30 some yrs later:risas3:.

What's up bud.
I thought you put a lift kit and some new wheels and tires on the suburban :D.

Hahaha I wish. My old burbs towing days are over. It has a bad case of cancer on the rear half of the frame. Going to find a replacement for it soon. Have a couple lines on different 3/4 tons. Have to see what plays out.

Another thing odd about that car is, if you look inside, it has a 5 speed (Tremec?) manual transmission. What Tauras had a manual!? How awesome is that?
With a throttle body change, modified exhaust/MAF, and a simple under pully kit, they perk up to about 250hp. That's good for nearly 6 seconds 0-60, which will surprise a whole lot of folks. And you haven't even added a cam yet...
They all came with decent suspension and steering for the time as well.
7300rpm redline, too.

Gonna be selling mine, you didn't see my post, I got a new ride.
No rust on the body of mine, but it's a bit beat up, gonna list it for 2500 with the parts truck that has a running motor, but I robbed the distributor out of it, the trans had no reverse. I drove that one home, got it mainly for the wheels and tires which I already wore out.
New ride!

Only the first gen had the 3.0 5 speed (ford MTX-4) exclusively. Second gens had the 3.0 on the 5 speed and a 3.2 on the automatic. This one was a 3.2 auto. The engine was built by Yamaha.

This engine was built by Datsun. Car is a 1969 1/2. Boy is an early 1969 model:

I'm holding out for a 3/4 ton with the 5.7. Had enough 7.4's don't need to go down that road again. The small block does what I need.

If I can't find one. I'll snag a crew cab with the 6.0.

That's my uncle's 4 acre pond. It's a private paradise.

I just got rid of an open rear square body. It needed a load of firewood in the back to get any kind of traction.

We always plant a garden this size. We did build a better fence this year, and moved the sweet corn to inside the fence, to try and keep the darn deer away.
Deer jump for fresh corn, apples, pears, plums & other stuff...

Got new front tires on the camaro AC8FFD3E-406E-4D71-9C20-005B3053FB71.jpeg71C0EEEF-4C33-4211-B117-7DA9472FC13D.jpeg 5C6A80B6-AC32-4100-8F7E-77284347D144.jpegand after cleaning that quick fuel carb and replaced a few little thing....and still had a dead spot right off the bottom....well as it turns out the number one spark plug boot slipped loose a little bit. My heat gun found that, she runs really good now!

Yep. I have 42" chain link wire down low (chicken wire on the ends so I can open it up next spring to plow and till), and then high tensile wires every 18", up to about 8' high.
