Since no-one told me what not to buy I snagged up a Ford lol. Drove 4hrs for it, no body rust and light surface rust on the bottom. It's got the v10 and its a 2wd, got 14.2 on the lie-o-meter on the way home. Everything works except the two remotes for the locks, he said they just need batteries, I guess I can probably have my son take care of those for me:risas3:. Hope to get my suburban listed soon along with the parts truck, maybe I'll buy another suburban this summer with 4wd.
Great looking "rig".

Last Saturday, the rugrats came along with me to take 2 steers on their last ride to the processing plant. (That's why I bought a crew cab).
On the way back we stopped at a state park and walked off some energy.

This Saturday after working in the garden all day, we went fishing at my uncle's pond.

No frowns there! Looks like a great time!
They were slaying the bluegills and sunfish, plus a few perch and small bass. I'm waiting for it to warm up, so the big catfish will come out to play.

My middle kid caught a nice bluegill, and while she was taking the hook out, she squeezed it a little, and it puked up 3 worms. I guess some fish never learn.

Dang, they did get it good didn't they.
But the big question is did they self clean :aaaaa:.
I did this one Saturday for a buddy(they listed it Friday), they got three offers after I did the grass, all for more than the list price, they make a decision today about which offer they will accept. I double cut it diagonally, his son normally mows and asked how I got it done so quick and how come it looks so much nicer than when they do it, 10k mower vs 1k mower has a lot to do with it lol.
Hard to see the striping because it was getting dark, plus I was working around the for sale sign I had just put back in.

I love the way my mower cuts. First mower i ever paid more than 2k for. Was well worth it.

Got the gates made and up. Little more trim work to do and two more gates for the other side by laneway. Hopfully tomorrow.
Then it on to better things like getting the boat ready.

It certainly makes a difference.
Same buddy went with me to Ohio to snag up the excursion, he was talking about how good the yard looked and his sons comments and then said that he remembered when I had offered to sell him my mower for 1500, I said you may have it confused with another conversation because I sold my previous 52" for 2500 and I wouldn't sell any of my zero turns for 1500 lol. I would however like to sell my lazer and get another walk behind as the lazer is a big heavy hog and its not the nicest on lawns, its major overkill for 75% of what I do with it and I could unload/reload and mow most any yard I do faster with a 52" walkbehind with a velky(spelling ?). Id take a 52, if it was a walkbehind, but I prefer to have a 60 in a rider as it makes it easier to trim with the left side overhang and there is plenty of deck overhanging on the right side for most everything too, with an HD 52 you loose a lot of that. Some yards with hills are easier to blend at the bottom without gouging them with a narrow deck and ditches the same, but a 60" rider sure is a nice width to cut with.
If I do get another rider I'd like an airride setup, but a walkbehind takes care of that need lol.

Yeah buddy :b1:.
I'm gonna see if Steve will sell me those self cleaning tires lol.
My last HD truck was a 6.0 2004 Chevy crew cab short box and it would spin pretty quick. I'm hoping since it has a bunch of weight over the back it will spin a little less, but with the power of the v10 it could be as easy to spin as the Chevy.
Maybe I should do a straight axle conversion on it, might as well do a Cummins swap while I'm at it .

Great pics of the kids, I like that pond too.
Nice garden, with all the crap going on I know a lot of folks are planting them, kinda hard to trust the supply chains these days, and with good reason.
