Guy not too far from me has a huge crankshaft as his mailbox post. I'd hate to hit that sucker.
Thers one on way to work thats a long horizontal 2 inch square tube with box hanging on it. If you hit that sucker probly take your head off.

The good thing about that is it wasn't a mile or two from the house in the woods when it happened.
26, wow. I get hydraulic hoses with ends on them for around that made at our local Napa. They write me up under a company that does a lot of sales with them as a cash sale :).

Yep, super convenient failure!

Doesn't appear to be a high pressure hose, so wouldn't any reinforced type hose fix it up?

Yep, return line so minimal pressure. The problem is the tight 90 degree bends. And i couldn't think of any molded 3/4" power steering hose for a car i could get cheaper and cut to fit. I really was tempted to get some molded heater hose but it would be about 2" around in a week being exposed to the oil!

We have the same rule in Missouri for mailboxes. Luckily i live on a private road so my 100lb tractor mailbox is safe from idiots and lawyers, i think?
Didn't know that? Had a boss who planted 3" pipe 4 feet with a good concrete base & fill. It was on outside of a curve that many slid into it. Never heard of trouble for Bob over it.

Lot of people don’t know the rule, and either feel guilty for hitting the mailbox or whatever, it’s stupid because power pole and other solid objects are usually worse! Lot of people get away with crazy welded mailbox’s here. But if a lawyer hits it your paying!
