And the race began. But got cut short.by weather. Well we never stuck arpund to see if they were gonna run later. Wish we could have seen the big boats run. We did get to see the miss geico boat for a couple minuts as he came out the channel and then went back in. Never got a good pic though. Looked like its yellow instead of bright green.

The funny thing about it, almost everything I read recommended using a chainsaw to remove the pressure because of de-lamination of the plywood. Duct tape and cardboard to the rescue.

Looks like the trailer is in great condition, did the boat just sit outside uncovered.

The pitchfork is to get the hot rocks out of the fire.....and into the sweat lodge.

The Inipi is one of seven sacred ceremonies.....it is the purification ceremony.

Just one of those things that can happen on tin boats. Lund had somewhat of a problem late 80's into the 90's with not sealing the top of the transom boards. Water gets in and soaks in and freezes in the winter and de-laminates the plywood. I have kept it under roof since I have had it but have had to replace the front deck because of rot.

Heres the smoker I built for my Dad.
I used some leftover, bent 1/2" spherical rod ends for the hinges.
