Heres the smoker I built for my Dad.
I used some leftover, bent 1/2" spherical rod ends for the hinges.

My questions are; does it slide for when it's loaded heavy to the rear, and does your neighbor know you stole his rails lol.
That's sweet, I need one, I have a bunch of very nice seasoned wood that would work well in it.

Most likely hit by lightning

I second that.

Oak tree probably 3ft has a full canopy.
It won't for long .
If you look at the center towards the base/root flare you can see a small section that was blown out of it, also a crack a couple inches to the right of that, I'd guess was also caused by the lightning strike.
Bet the folks in the neighborhood had their windows rattled, I like that:b1:.

There's an oak at least 5-6 feet across in my aunt's yard that was hit 4 years ago that is just now showing to die on one side. She had it topped about 3 years ago hoping to save it but it's not gonna make it unfortunately.

Honda EU2000i generator only running on choke, dang ethanol.
Cleaned right up, that ethanol fuel is not good for these tiny carbs.

Went to start my redmax blower today, it's nearing 20yrs old, never even done the carb, it fired the first pull with the choke on. Then as it loaded up I opened the choke and it was idling normal, so I put it on and throttled it up, it sounded like heck wouldn't rev up and it was running very rich. So I idled it down and took it off my back, then I removed the filter cover(never changed the filter before either), as soon as I did it revved right up. Okay, what's up is the pre-filter dirty and needing to be shaken out/washed(I do keep it clean), nope as soon as I pulled it out of the cover this is what I saw.

Little cleaning of the air inlet holes with a wire and some brake parts cleaner and she was purring like a kitten in a cat fight. The pre filter kept any of that crap from getting to the filter, what a great setup.

Finished this up today, I didn't do the wall , just the final grade :clap2:.
I also dead limbed the cherry in the background as well as a few off two red oaks and an aspen/poplar.
Wasn't sure it was gonna happen as some storms rolled thru, but we didn't get much at the job, just on the way there, thank God! We also got enough rain here at the house I don't have to water the trees we planted this spring .
