Bmw i think still does that. I havent had one in for awhile but that system was pretty simple with no major problems. The N52 engines had an eletric motor in the valve cover that moved an eccentric shaft to change the ratio on the rockers. Those engines ran very well.
I like simple that works! I alway thought it would be cool to do that to a pushrod v8, adapted shaft mount rockers with an eccentric like the bmw, I bet it would work well, plus it would be cool if you could do a manual override that let you have a nasty camed idle!!

My 9 yo came running out of her room at 11:30 last night and did this in the bathroom sink... guess who got to clean it up?

Points for getting it into the sink! [emoji108]

My then twelve year old turned the corner from the hall and redecorated the whole bathroom.

It was epic.[emoji2960]

Thanks bud. I'll just say, long story short. I had three byoptsy's taken from my mouth about 2 weeks ago and all are cancerous, not full blown (yet) but not good either way. Gotta be monitored every three months. Most importantly to help myself I gotta stop dipping tobacco and fast. When a cancer doctor tells you that news and that you are now his patient... it really is a very sinking feeling.

I had some kinda *s-wordty years, last year at this time I was sick, crippled, weak and weighed 142 pounds.
Last December I made three changes, ditched tobacco, coffee and switched to a mostly organic diet.
I now weigh in at 158 and feel like wrestling tigers.
