Sucks man! I have been dealing with a condition called Iritis for the last three weeks... been blind in my left eye and lots of pain. You really take sight for granted and eye pain/blindness is tough to deal with.
That sucks hopefully your better soon. I would rather have a broken bone or stitches than a eye injury.

Thanks! Finally went to an ophthalmologist and he says 6-8 weeks to completely heal up, but I’m going on week four and I’m just starting to regain some vision... just enough to be annoying, anyways! The first couple of weeks felt like there was some huge object stuck in my eye! But luckily in the last couple of days the constant headache (that I had for the first three weeks) has gone away.

Unfortunately the condition is caused by my poor genetics :( and may be something that comes back again at some point in my life... or many times. Ugh!

I had optic neuritis a few years ago was basically legally blind for two and a half months. Your right people take there vision for granted. My eye doctor tells me every time I go in he can see the spots on my optic nerve that never recovered. There grey instead of pink like they should be.

Got a piece of steel in it unwrapping the parts I got sandblasted. They had to grind it out with a medical grade fordom. The yellow dot in the middle of my eye.

I had a peace of metal in my eye in about thr same spot. They had to dig it out with the fordum tool as well. Now i have a little black dot i see all the time. That was probly 17 years ago or so.

My dad has had one of his retnas detach from his eye. Some sort of hereditary condition. They lazered it back on and he is doing pretty good. Amazing what medical tecnology can do to fix what we or genitics can screw up.

Hope we all recover well!

2019 Silverado. 5 miles on it.
Check engine light on.
8 codes for 4 cylinders deactivation solenoids.

According to chart, I need to disconnect solenoid jumper harness and test circuits there.
Bbuuutt, I need to remove the intake manifold to get to said connector.
And to get the ECM to command the solenoids on, it requires the engine running.o_O

Plus, when I have it running, it boots me out of it, stating the ignition voltage is too high..

So, I winged it, ohmed all solenoids at the ECM connector, checked for short to B+, ground, etc.

Had to call the omnipotent General anyhow because the ECM is on restriction.
Guy at tech assistance laughed when I explained how their diagnostic chart works.
At least he gave me an authorization number to get a module..
