Had to let some sheet rock mud dry today so I took my lunch break on the top of Mount Hebo, it’s 3200 feet off the ground roughly. Left Stihl, right Husqvarna, they lost their edge deburring 12.9 grade steel.
The Stihl gave up instantly, the Husqvarna still bites here and there and post processed all parts I milled out of 12.9 grade steel.

Read a little about it and never really gave thought to much of the PNW cliffs and formations being due to volcanic activity. Probably should have, I vividly remember Mount St. Helens major eruption in high school, somewhere in the 80-81 range I think.
