Ok boys. I would like to donate at no least a conversational item.

I have here a 064/066 jms saw. It was built for me by jms. I’ve never ran it. Shoot I’ve never even started it.

Here’s what I know. The brake flag is the wrong one. If you trip the break. You can’t reset it and the clutch cover is off an older stihl. So you can’t adjust your chain tension.

And I did say I’ve never ran it. But it has been ran. Lol.

That flag is for a 1/2 wrap 066: I know this because I had to buy the correct one & swap out on my JMS066.

You need an 1122 790 9102 or 9106.

An AM Clutch Cover for a MS660 will do good.

I’m in for those 2 items: I’ll send to you.

PM inbound.

Incredible! I haven't had a chance t donate yet, but I will.

Wait til yinz fellers see these draw knives....if I get lucky enough to win, I may pick them for myself!! Lmao....

Are used snow plow wear bars/edges any good for making stuff like that? I snagged two from the scrap pile at work... they are not carbide... just some hard and not flexible steel. One was from the shop lot plowing quad and the other was off of a coworker's Dodge plow truck.

I don't know if shipping them to you would be feasible... could be done but might cost a lot for a full length wear bar.

The Dodge wear bar is about 3/8" thick, 3 1/2" wide, 7 or so foot length... I do have a chop saw that could cut them into smaller pieces, which would make shipping easier since we could cram them into a flat rate box. If you want a sample to try hammering on, let me know... flat rate box is our friend here...

Most likely AR400 or AR500
Tough stuff to work with unless you put some heat to it.
Drilling and/or punching is very difficult unless you’re set up to do so.
The material “work hardens”

Would hold a nice edge as a draw knife I bet though

Yes it should!

I used to CNC program a lot of plow cutting edges for various types of earth movers and snow removal equipment.
Plasma or oxyfuel was the only way to work with it. Couldn’t cold bend it without stressing the material.
Another good knife making item would be used grouser bars off a dozer......I think so anyway.
