Wish I had some Husky parts, I’d send you another one.
However, you could probably cut out the deflector and continue the beads to make an unique, one off design made from ugly beads
Compare the 87 carb one to the 120 carb one when both are done. Interested to see what difference there actually is in a timed cut.
If you recall our 262 shootout in spring of '17 (or was that fall of '16?), the 120 carb on mine was way behing yours (Marcello's) and Eric's, when I swapped in the 87, Mine was right there with both of yours.Cylinders and porting are different between them. I’ll have to switch carbs on same saw to know for sure.

On a stock 262, a 120 is a better running carb and the 87 is finicky and not worth it IMHO. On a ported one, an 87 is a MUST.
I have been paying attention to fuel mileage and most people would call me a liar to state that my muffler modded 562 cuts more wood than some of my ported saws do on a tank of gas. It does, and really suprised me.The results will be negligible. Minimal at best.
I was just joking with ya. [emoji106]
Same for me Mason. Bigger bar needed, I just go bigger saw.I won’t be getting rid of any of my ported saws though any time soon. They have there place. Won’t see me noodling with a 32” bar on 562. Each saw I size to the job at hand. Cutting 20” firewood, my 562 is very efficient.
I feel a 50-60 cc saw ported or muffler modded works well for small-medium firewood in general. It’s fun to put a 20” bar on a 460 or 372 though and blast through the rounds once in a while.I believe you 100%. I noticed much of the same with my Stihl 026s. Exception being MOFO 026. It is extremely good on fuel. It surprised me. But I do have 2 muff modded 026s that are great on fuel too.
Your 562 and your Johnyred are both awesome saws. [emoji106]
@Onan18, can you tell me what kit I need? Is it K10?
And is it the same kit for the 120/144 carbs?

Great! Unless they are crazy expensive, I’ll take 4.

So a 262 with a good cylinder and 120 would probably beat a not as good cylinder and 87 most likely?

On an unmodded saw, yes. Not on one thats been ported. So a 262 with a good cylinder and 120 would probably beat a not as good cylinder and 87 most likely?
