2 compression washers. I did this on @boozers after machine work because the piston was hitting the plug
Looks like that may have been the case here too with just a gasket delete...

It's waaaaay too much gap, but I think you could build it up with some JB Weld and it will run fine.Is this too much ring gap? [emoji33]
