Didn't get much done on my car but I got out to the junkyard with a couple guys and got a trunk floor for one of my buddy's cars. Went a bit barbaric with the sawzall lol. It's going to a better car, so good cause.

Have sawzall will travel. Looks like the donor was in decent shape before you got a hold of it! Keep at it man post some pics of the deconstruction.

The donor was pretty bad, the pictures make it look better than it was. The rear frame rails were shot and there was so much mud in the quarters it was snowing as I was cutting through them. There was also about 3/8" of mud on the roof that was cracked and falling off. It definitely had seen some hacknicians.

Nice projects in here. I dream of doing a S10/LS swap some day or have enough for a minty Syclone.

Speaking of projects, I helped a good friend with a 66 Chevelle convertible. Car was rusty and needed a lot of work, the first shop we took it to did some work and closed within 2 years. Picked it up in a 1000 pieces, he called the Petty shop in Randleman and they said to bring it over, unloaded and left the 1000 pieces, they called back and said $100K. Picked up the 1000 pieces and dropped it off at a shop in Myrtle beach. That shop finished the car and did a good job. I believe that was in a 5 year span from when we winched the car onto the trailer and he drove it home from MB, good times!

That’s crazy. Imagine finding a sweet low mileage ford tempo nowadays.

But seriously those cars a worth over ten times the amount today.

Call this a "proof of life" post, I guess. Not really any progress on the Regal lately. It's still there waiting for some tube steel bracing for the body. Mostly my own procrastination getting in the way. There haven't been many car cruises this summer to give me any motivation and the weather has been nice so I've been trying to spend time outside rather than in the garage. Anyways sorry for the lack of progress but I figured I was due for an "update".

I'm gonna put one more brace across the door openings to prevent any parallelogram action from happening. I welded a nut on the brace to bolt it to. Should go something like this-

WOW!!! Lot of work Sir!! Always thought the Chevelle's were one of GM's better muscle cars. If I could get my hands on a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, that would be my classic dream car. One that is in terrible shape the last I looked was selling for $25k.....

Pic for reference:

My dad had one of these cars some years ago. Had all original paint. Nice car and i used it in my wedding back in 83.
Cool car. Had every option available in 57. Car sold new for over 13K in 57. That what i was told.
