It is ok. Not really jacked. As we pray for mom to get better we have to try AND figure out how to pay for everything. Our healthcare should at least be easy to navigate. I understand people need paid for a service. But some of this is crazy. Cost us $500 just today to have a nurse, a therapist, and a helper come in to just take information and start the process to see what they can do and what it will cost us. Is short I paid people to figure out how much I will need to pay them!

I live in a country where healthcare is more or less free, organizated and paid by the state through tax money.
The day we let private companies take over we've all lost, going private is a typhical policy from those on the right wing.

We used to be the envy of the world for our health care, people came here from everywhere to get the difficult procedures. Then the government got involved ... quality declined and cost went up.
A notable exception is Lasik Eye Surgery. Because it is not typically covered by insurance (it is not a required treatment) the cost went down and the quality went up. That is because, before people schedule it, they ask what it cost and what your success rate is.
