I know it’s been done before running the 268 piston swap just wanted to get a couple pictures before I put it back together for the 3rd time I think fighting air leaks and other screw ups I made lol
How much clearance do you have between the spark plug and the piston at TDC?View attachment 345336 View attachment 345337 View attachment 345338 View attachment 345339My 371 husky that I took .070” off the band and epoxied the intake up on and running 98 exhaust. Yep what kev said. I had to notch the piston so the strap wouldn’t hit. One of the screwups I made and one reason I had to take it back apartHow much clearance do you have between the spark plug and the piston at TDC?
Run the short plugs or add a washer, short plug is easier though.Yep what kev said. I had to notch the piston so the strap wouldn’t hit. One of the screwups I made and one reason I had to take it back apart
Can also just run a different plug that isn’t clocked with the electrode between 5 and 7:00Run the short plugs or add a washer, short plug is easier though.
Already had to take the cylinder off because the intake boot had an air leak.Run the short plugs or add a washer, short plug is easier though.
How big of a bore can you sleeve?
LolMy current lathe maxes out at about 48" diameter. So anything under that should be doable.
