It’s been a long time since I’ve done a 372 OE. Trying slightly different numbers without hogging the transfers as large as I used to and a few newer tricks.

See I tend to think the 288/394 block flows better than the 395 boot. Theres hardly a performance difference between the two saws in stock form despite the “inferior” old school two port design of 394. I think the larger carb throttle bore and intake block is helping it. The problem with blocks is the heat transfer to the carb though. I could be wrong but I’d be interested to measure the area of the boot and the block. Another thing that might be a consideration is the boot probably deforms a little under acceleration, where as the block is constantly the same.I have always disliked the intake port on most of the husky jonsered saws with a intake block. They seem to still run well but I just don't like the shape we are forced to keep/use because of it. That 394 has a huge exhaust port
