It’s been a long time since I’ve done a 372 OE. Trying slightly different numbers without hogging the transfers as large as I used to and a few newer tricks.

I have always disliked the intake port on most of the husky jonsered saws with a intake block. They seem to still run well but I just don't like the shape we are forced to keep/use because of it. That 394 has a huge exhaust port

See I tend to think the 288/394 block flows better than the 395 boot. Theres hardly a performance difference between the two saws in stock form despite the “inferior” old school two port design of 394. I think the larger carb throttle bore and intake block is helping it. The problem with blocks is the heat transfer to the carb though. I could be wrong but I’d be interested to measure the area of the boot and the block. Another thing that might be a consideration is the boot probably deforms a little under acceleration, where as the block is constantly the same.

My first time ever trying to do fingers. That cylinder was one that my dad experimented on to try and make it a bottom fead cylinder. Not gonna run this one because the plating is just about gone on the intake side and even if the plating was still good, this thing might not even run worth a darn.
Got the height of the fingers close to the height of the uppers.

Got my 2152 cylinder cleaned up, base cut and .020 off a Hyway pop up this afternoon. Last night I fixed were I had cut it to thin and broke through under the transfer cover, I ended up just JB welding both covers on.
