Positive thoughts please....

She's out of surgery.
Gonna be a while before any updates.
Probably tomorrow AM at some point.
Busy day with soccer tournament tomorrow as well.

To make a chitty day even chittier, I had to bury my garage cat when I got home with the boys.
He was old and sick & in a much better place now. My neighbor found him floating in her swimming pool. Assuming he walked the edge to get a drink and fell in. Their patio is flush with the top of pool.

Took the boys out to dinner @ BWW after burying the cat. They completely farked up everything. Having celiac disease, ours meals take a bit longer to prep so that was fun too.

To top it all off, Landon my 8yr old, opened up my truck door (white) into the Acura (black) parked next to us and left a good white skid mark in the driver door.

I'm so over this day man.....

Praying for this precious lady again this morning. The surgery is a complicated one, and we are watching and praying. So sorry for the string of difficulties that are coming your way.
I'll be checking back in to see how the morning report is later on. I have a funeral today of a classmate of mine. Hope today is much better for you on the home front.

Update on my Mom...

Today was one big leap forward. Mom was able to recognize us, say our names, her name, identify objects, and eat and drink a little bit. Her confusion is starting to clear and she is understanding a bit more about the last week of events. She is resting a lot, and seems to be more comfortable in her rest. All good signs. Hopefully this progress will continue. She is still on the ICU and will be there until she is cleared for a step down floor from the full team. I will keep posting updates as we go...keep sending her some love.

Today was one big leap forward. Mom was able to recognize us, say our names, her name, identify objects, and eat and drink a little bit. 4:38pm Shauna writes;

Mom was able to talk a bit. She perked up when I came in. Told me about her peanut butter toast and coffee and that she had corn for lunch. She actually had soup but I'm glad she had a name for it. She was able to tell me she sat up for a bit today and she feels better. She was only able to talk a few minutes then she told me she was tired. I told her I would wait for her to take a nap, she said ok then zonked right out. She is definitely looking better today and definitely perking up!!

Glad you brought this back up Lee. Good news!
They took her out of the ICU last Thurs. And today, she was released to go home.
She’s still not 100% herself, but she’s well enough to go home for sure.
