Great info so far! What are the part numbers for the 357/359 intake parts and which filter needed to go along with a 199 carb on a 346xp ne? Need to order before sending mine for more bananas.

I too am curious to know the differences between the many different Walbro carbs used on 357/9 saws.. My 357 has the 199 and I picked up a good used 175 for my 359 project I did over the winter. I did not do a side x side comparison, but the 175 seemed identical to the 199.

190/191 was for heat element system, due that reason they dont have part # 537 94 53 01 (it's the black plasting ring)
190/198 doesnt have accelerator pump far as I know, while 191/199 has the pump.
I really dont know why, but somehow I think it is because 191/199 was EPA carb and L system may be smaller, and to give them a proper acceleration they added acc pump.

When we study IPL for 174/175 and 190/191/198/199 we see that throttle shaft has different part number also, what bring it over to accelerator pump and no accelerator pump.

I guess I just prefer un-enhanced jugs.

To each his own sir. I'll readily admit that a overly loud saw gets to me after awhile. I've got a 346XP that Wigglesworth ported that hurts my ears. He put a little pipe in the muffler, and the pitch is just too high.
