I am looking hard for one of these now and selling a ported 394 to fund the purchase. I will be getting one if possible and it will be ported by mastermind :)

I've ported both saws, the 394 is superior design except for the solid intake block and it's a little bit heavier. Still much better AV, bigger tank, and easier to get parts. Most important is that a properly ported 394 will stomp on even an above average ported 9010.

Yep..

If the 394 had an inboard clutch, it would be my choice for the mill.
As far as oil output, the 9010 oils like the Exon Valdeze.

I believe the beauty of the ported 9100/9110 is the power to weight ratio, and that the 394s are really in a different category in that respect.

If my ported 460 were not such a good running saw, I would likely desire a ported 9100.

So are they close to the 17.3lbs PHO dry that I have seen in writing only?

Didnt realize they had 42 stroke.

Same bore as an 064 IIRC, but 5 more cc..
Loooong stroke.

They're lighter than a 395, but honestly, once you hang a 36" bar on em' I can't tell a few pounds apart.

Been researching one. Is why I am finding info on them.

I remember racing against one at the fair in the work saw gas classes. He was woods ported too. But got him in the 3 cuts 10x10. Was good running saws. But that is where I left that memory till few days ago.
