18" GB Arbor Tech. I can post a link if it's OK. Left Coast Supplies. Not a pro bar, but for ten bucks hard to go wrong, IMO.

Is that a real 18" or closer to 16.5?
How well does it pull an 18"

One thing iv had in mind with the bar and chain situation is "Interchangeability" .
Have found that the bars from my Dolmar 111 ,115 on 3/8 and .325 will sub across to the small bar mount Husqvarna's that i have …i believe they use "More or less " the same patterns . The 420 should be able to take any of my bars and chains from the .325 range . Should make things less of pain and cost overall was in my mind.

You are right about the 111 and 115 (and many other Dolmars of that generation). The original mount was K153, but that mount mostly is covered by the K095 bars by now - they are really close.

The 420 use the K041, that doesn't interchange directly with the K095 (oiling system is different, everything else the same). Combo bars for K095 and K041 exist though, and at least the Cannon also cover the A074 (Stihl 3005).

Over there
I saw those GB bars but they were only 18" and I wanted 16" so i bought a Total ll bar from fordf150. Its a little fatter than the skinny OEM bar but my 56dl chains still work its just a little tight getting it on.

If you have a K041 bar to look at, it should be possible to modify the K095 bars to work. I haven't done it though, so I can't tell for sure how hard or easy it is.

Think as you say its just the oiling part i will have a close measure up once the new saw and bars are here…worth a go.
Dolmare are still showing .325 x 1.3mm pitch chain on the 420 sc instead of 3/8 lo 1.3mm for the 420 in USA.

It was that way with the saw that the 420 replaced as well (410/411 if memory serves).

Btw, the 420sc is called 421 in the US.

That means the 420 rated at 2.0kw turned into the 420 sc at 2.2kw and the 421 is the same spec . The original US 420 turned into the 421 ? The parts list shows all of them in the family.
