Anybody know where or how to get one for a reasonable price?

I owe my kid one from last Christmas and they are still know where to be found for the regular price ($499). They can be found from secondary sources for double the price or more. Apparently, A-holes use bots to buy them all up online and resell them on Ebay, Amazon, and Walmart website. One source on ebay has sold almost 400 units for double the price. They are not available in stores.

Yep, my sister-in-law keep complaining about the 4 digit price tag, and says they are only going up in price from there. I reckon it will take an economic collapse before we see prices come down again

I hope he has a bunch of them and he has to eat them. Not a fan of people that do that, I know it is their right, but it is a crappy thing to do.

You can sign up with Sony and they will notify you when it is available to order. There is also a site you can register with and they let you know when online retailers have stock. You have to move fast, they sell in minutes. My wife got one both ways this fall. One for boys Xmas, the other she might give to a kid who doesn't have much.

They sell in seconds. I tried to buy from Walmart on Tuesday at 3:00; they were sold out at 3:00:01. It doesn't make sense.

That’s pretty cool! I’ve looked at them a few times but no way I’m spending what they’re asking. I still have a ps2 that I play very rarely. Newest console is a ps3, I’ve really grown out of it. Never thought I would, I had over 200 days of play time on call of duty modern warfare on ps3 in 07-08ish time frame. That only counted actual play time in matches 8 mins on less haha. I would play it from the minute I got home until way past bedtime everyday and literally all weekend at times.

My son bought the latest PS and X-Box console systems a while back…he has all the generations of Play Station and X-Box. Myself…I grew up on the Atari 2600 console and Intellivision back in the 70’s, which he has both of those now as well, and all the Nintendo game systems that have rolled out over the years.
