South EAST CA ain’t as much of a mess. we rednecks growing the country’s food. It’s the large coastal cities. But that’s large cities most everywhere. Y’all feel free to extend your condolences to those of us stuck here. Looking at buying in Yuma AZ an hour away. I so do not want to commute.

Wind turbines have a life expectancy of 20 years, so I have read, cost between 2 and 4 million dollars to produce. Take around 15 years for pay back. Blades on those turbines are not recyclable according to article and are buried in the earth. Why does no one talk about noise pollution, chemicals used to produce, mining need to build generator, killing of birds, energy need to produce and light them? What happens when wind stops blowing for extended times, it's happening in Europe. Rolling black outs must be a thing of the past.

Thank god all the millions of lithium batteries that will be needed to run all that stuff on the list are completely safe and won't burst into flames and can be safely disposed of by simply throwing them in the trash where they can't possibly contaminate groundwater and stuffs
There is absolutely nothing green about making lithium batteries, that’s what the *s-wordheads don’t understand!

Does that mean ope items are selling cheap out there? Chainsaw ads should be filling up with CA people unloading all their saws, cheap, cannot use them, might as well sell them. What's available?

Will be awesome to see forest fire fighters with battery saws or 2 mile extension cords…
I've yet to see a gov't entity fine another, the money wouldn't go anywhere even if they did. That and...
New law(at least ways the way I read it) doesn't state you can't use gas powered OPE, rather the 50,000 sellers in CA can no longer sell gas powered OPE. Lets just say each shop averaged 5 people working in it, that's 250,000 jobs affected, either lost or severely hindered in the ability to earn. This will only lead to chainsaws and the like to become black market material in one place in the United States for the first time in history, or at least until sanity returns.

One of those typical things where the perception of doing something about an issue is more important than if it actually helps. A lot of parallels to gun control/'assault weapon' bans here.
Sounds like at least existing equipment will be grandfathered in, have to wonder how it will then deal with used equipment sales and the million loopholes people will figure out.

'Preban' stuff will be worth big bucks, lol.
Going to be a clusterfark like most half baked legislation out there.

Not that the state I'm in is much better...

One thing you got to keep in mind when listening to these people. Is a certain politician from a certain state wanted to socialize the oil industry. And since she couldn't, making them obsolete is the next step. Why you ask? They get all the money instead of the private sector. Its really that simple if you understand that mindset.

In my eyes it's all about making a name for themselves, what looks good on paper, instant gratification, etc. These clowns don't actually care about the planet or the future. If the did they would realize most things they do hurt in the long run. I once read that at the end of their lives a Prius is worse for the planet than a gas car...all things factored in. And I believe it. With all this said I'm in NY and I kinda feel the same. We should chop NYC off and we'd be much better off. Most of our bs is determined by the city and we pay for it. And NY always seems to be one step behind CA. We tend to follow some of the bs they do. Ok I'm done.

Plus all the small lawn care outfits that can't afford to switch over. That money included in that bill for that is a drop in the bucket.

I can see there being a need for maintaining the equipment in use. Might keep some mechanics and parts people busy for whatever shops are left.

At some time ,persons living in California voted for this mentality and there is still the freedom to move in this great Country ( until further notice) .
I moved from Pennsylvania to the south for these exact reasons, restricting regulation enforced by the government on local people, now my tax dollars support a local government that doesn't do that and choices should be made to that end .
How will they function with an entire state of movie stars, homeless people, and entitled snow flakes? They won't.
If you work with your hands there I'd move or triple my labor rate.
