I'll give you guys a heads up on moving to NC. Don't do it.
The mobs ahead of y'all have already turned the (what were once ) nicer places into a second version of the places you moved away from.
Crowded as F... and expensive now.
Before long, Texas is gonna figure out why inviting the (wealthy) Californians isn't such a good thing to do in the long term.

The Lithium mining is already getting a foothold. Could mean a new job for you or could mean the loss of open rural land.

40 years ago when we lived in Northern New Mexico one of the most seen bumper stickers was "Don't Californicate Colorado" and that didn't end well either

In my eyes it's all about making a name for themselves, what looks good on paper, instant gratification, etc. These clowns don't actually care about the planet or the future. If the did they would realize most things they do hurt in the long run. I once read that at the end of their lives a Prius is worse for the planet than a gas car...all things factored in. And I believe it. With all this said I'm in NY and I kinda feel the same. We should chop NYC off and we'd be much better off. Most of our bs is determined by the city and we pay for it. And NY always seems to be one step behind CA. We tend to follow some of the bs they do. Ok I'm done.
