My Camry alt done 320k km before the reg went. The OEM alternator on my Camry is still going strong at 340k+. I pulled the brushes recently and it looks like they’ll go to 500k
yer I was happy with 320k.I guess the brushes aren’t the only thing to go bad, you’re right.
If you were closer I'd volunteer to taxi you around.
Been following this at a distance, and what a clusterflock. You certainly have more patience than I do! This might be a good time to make an informal inquiry about legal options with your attorney friends before talking more with the dealership.A lesser truck is being offered. Straight up, no $ back. What??? Says the truck I bought is now used, so they would take a hit. So What? Not my fault. I haven't seen, touched, sat in or drove MY truck. Used my ass. I told them then I'll take a refund. Give me back my money and keep your Crap Truck.
We are at a stalemate and waiting to hear what the Technician has to say. If it can be fixed, then fine. More likely the tech says it is a total loss and the Lemon Law comes into effect. 30 days is tomorrow.

The dealership knows that they are coming out on the losing end of this no matter what. Remind them that right now they can choose to minimize their losses by giving you a good deal on another truck and then you are gone and out of their hair. Or they can lose alot more when you get a lawyer and/or Mopar HQ involved. One more thing: if you never took delivery of the truck, I'm not sure they can now legally claim it's "your" truck, even if its been titled in your name. This is the part where you need a lawyer!
All I can say is that when I worked at Toyota, an incident like this would have made waves all the way to Japan. The company would do a very thorough investigation as to why this happened and there would be dozens of people involved. The customer would be offered such a sweet deal on another truck that they would be singing Toyota's praises. The Toyota that I know would view this sort of thing as a deadly threat to the company that must be destroyed.
have you tried getting in contact with headquarters?
sometimes a phone call or letter from an attorney is all it takes to fix peoples attitudes.
when they say the term "used car" i would correct them and say "junk car"
edited to read --> attorney general in your state missed this being PNWStill working on the letter but looks and feels good so far.

Subject: Formal Request for Refund – Ram 1500 2025, Tradesman, VIN: <Vin number>
Dear Stellantis Customer Care,
I am writing to formally request a refund for my Ram 1500 2025 Tradesman, purchased, in full, on Oct 1, 2025 from <my dealership>. Despite multiple repair attempts, the vehicle continues to exhibit serious defects that substantially impair its use, value, and safety.
Despite purchasing this brand-new truck, it has remained in the Service Department for 34 days, during which your team has attempted multiple repairs, including:
Most recently, a technician has been dispatched from <a major city> to help with diagnosis and repair, ordered and installed a Totally Integrated Power Module, yet my truck still does not comply with normal operational standards that any person with reasonable expectations would expect from a major United States Automobile Manufacturer.
- Replacement of the ABS module
- Repairs to loose wire pins
- Replacement of the brake booster
- Ordering and installation of a new main wiring harness, which was crushed
- Further diagnosis revealing multiple error codes on the dash panel
I find it alarming that, despite the dealer spending over $12,000 on repairs, the dealership has not resolved the issues. On my request for a different truck, they offered a lesser truck as a replacement. I was told; I would not receive any compensation for the difference in value. Their reasoning—financial loss in reselling my truck—seems unjust, as it is not my responsibility to absorb the consequences of purchasing, in good faith, what turns out to be a vehicle with grave internal problems. This has become a Material Breach of Contract — payment then no delivery.
I was advised by your dealership’s sales consultant, <name of consultant>, regarding <my State>'s Lemon Law. However, it has been recommended that I wait until all repair attempts have been exhausted, which I find to be an unacceptable excuse given the extensive time and effort already invested.
Therefore, I am reaching out to Ram Corporate directly in search of resolution. I formally demand a full refund of my purchase price as the current situation is not sustainable for me as a consumer.
I hope to hear from you soon to resolve this matter amicably. I can be reached at <my telephone #> or <my email address>.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue.
Sincerely,
<my name>
under minnesota code ________
the legal defination of lemon vehicle is_________
i feel strongly that this vehicle meets those definitions and and asking you to remedy the situation before I consult legal counsel.
I'd think about CCing Keith Ellison , Minnesotas attorney general. Just another thought.
