picked up a 288xp lite a bit over a month ago. Haven't had much time to mess with it. Pulled it over to feel compression when I first got it...felt great, but could hear a pfssst every time. Decomp at the time, had a plug in it...it was obvious it was leaking there. Some purchased a new decomp valve....it has been sitting on a shelf for about a month, until today...decided to put the decomp in. Got it tightened down good, and still get the pfssst.
Here is a photo of the hole...looks like it is a bit rough. Possibly cross threaded, then re-threaded at some point. As well as the outer surface being a bit rough, and not perfectly flat for the washers to seat against.
Any advice?? Had thought about hooping some red loctite..but would much rather do a proper fix, than a halfass fix.
