Maybe he could decipher some of the posts I've seen over the years. Just was reading one tonight on that other site regarding a guy having issues with his chain wheel. The pic helped determine he was talking about a rim sprocket. I see bars referred to as blades, arms, etc. But then chains are also referred to as blades, etc. It's all so confusing... And cylinders and pistons have all sorts of terminology. Maybe it's just me but I was thinking that the word cylinder is a good one for a cylinder as opposed to a "head" and other even less descriptive terms. And why is a piston referred to as a "slug" "plug" etc when the word "piston" is so appropriate for a piston...

For the same reason that a cylinder is called a barrel by some, think of firearms.

its "jug" and "slug"...ive mostly heard that at the airport though...there a cylinder is always referred to as a "jug"
