If I'm not mistaken the R440 is an earlier version of a P-100 .

Yes as far as I know it is. I think they changed the cylinder as to the T port design. It really all turned into the mculloch pro mac 100 I believe. My R440 was a real sorry case. It had sat out in the rain and one case half was real rotted....I just slowly got parts together. The real motivation was a NOS top end I got for it. It's a cool saw to run. The con rod does have some corrosion rot on the beam but I just don lean on it too hard!

Since a 440 has been mentioned I would suspect a Husky 272 coil could be used as a replacement just like it does on a p-100 .If it had a two piece
ignitron or whatever they called it finding one would be like hunting for a hen's tooth .If you did find one they often fetch about what the saw might be worth .An AM coil from Seek-Pro or Proline is only about 20 bucks,nice hot blue spark .

I' m not really sure if the Mac version was before the P-100 super or not .The super had the additional flywheel side brace to give it more strength which was the weak link prior to the brace .My Mac version does not have the side brace . I've only seen about 4 or 5 P-100s in my life other than the two I own. That said those old duffers have got some power .

Has anyone tried to secure the hole under the clutch bearing in toasters? To reduce draft in the crankcase

That oiling system with the hole in the crank shaft has been a bone of contension .However as I understand it Husqvarna used something simialar on the 3120 model and it's been proven to be succesfull .
Where I live is not a high impact logging area .Partner as a brand was never a high seller but the concrete saws were .What little experince I have is based on the four Partner saws I own,two 99 cc and two 49 cc models .Very advanced for the time period and robustly made .

I never really saw the hole as an issue other than making it a pain to check that the seals ect are good. A constant air leak can be tuned out and not affect the saws running. It’s those sudden ones that get you. This is the reason I like mtronic and autotune because it can and has saved many saws

Was that a factory made brushcutter? Or one of those kits to turn a saw into a brushcutter? I could see it either way.

I have no idea myself. The machine looks like they took a chainsaw motor with minimal modification and stuck it on a brushcutter. The exhaust is still on the operator side. Stihl and I think Homelite used to make brush cutter kits for chainsaws that looked similar.

Here are picture of a Partner P100 SUPER 100cc/3 Cubic inch. This must be the last version from
Partner. Maybe made around 1981-82. It's the same saw on all pictures. What I have done so far is installed the missing the chain brake handle on the clutch cover. It's the same as the smaller 55cc Partner chainsaw. The clutch has the same parts on the P100 as the 55cc. Where can I buy gaskets for this 100cc Partner? Any one of you that now sumbody that have NOS parts for old Partner? But I just did buy this Partner P100 SUPER from Belgium. And I am from Sweden and live in the same area where the original factory was. About the same distance to old Jonsered Chainsaw plant. Swedish brand Husqvarna did buy Partner and Jonsered. All production is long gone from the Gothenburg-Mölndal-Jonsered Area. But what was left behind in Jonsered was research and development the engineering department so to speak. From what I have heard there is no chainsaw testing in Jonsered. I think GPS lawn mover or other "useless" stuff. I now this is about Partner chainsaw. But I can mention that Husqvarna will have started production of there new fuel injected chainsaw the 564 XPG FI it's about 60cc...got the stroke of a 50cc and piston diameter size of a 70cc saw. Light as possible is what the goal was as allways i hope.

Thank you for sharing. That chainsaw is indeed super. Is there anyway you can post pictures of the old factory? Do you know any locals that used to work at the partner factory before the take over?

During the covid lock down I completely rebuilt two P100's ,A McCulloch branded sp1000 and a P-100 super .Using two damaged complete saws and one complete rotating assembley from a donor .I made the gaskets .Used the McCulloch numbers for the McCulloch that had the USA made original seals because the OEM numbers were not to be found using the Partner drawings and coils from a 272 Husqvarna to replace the faulty ignitions.The piston rings were after market Cabers .Carbs just got a standard rebuild .BTW they run like a top and they don't even have enough run time yet to seat the piston rings .

If I have not mentioned it before take note by using the bar plates for a 2100 Husqvarna the Husky bars are a perfect option rather than finding OEM Partner .I have all three sets of plates for that model,Partner,Husqvarna and McCulloch .IMO compairing a 2100 Husky to a P-100 the Partner is more robustly made and is the exact bore and stroke as the 2100 .Both makes and models that said are both powerfull saws .
