I've used a variety of differnet methods, from cup gun with hardner and reducer to spray cans with epoxy top coat, but I have not been very happy about adhesion and strength of new coatings on old saw parts. I clean with TSP, Sodium Bicarbonate or media blast and use an etching primer or sanding primer and the top coat doesn't see m to adhere as well as I would like to the primer, any thoughts? My last job was a better, but I would really like to find a really hard paint that will adhere with a strong bond.

I like the majic brand paint tractor supply sells, add a little more hardener to your paint. An adhesion promoter may help too. I've painted numerous tractors with the majic brand and have had excellent results. You can cut and buff it to make it look like a mirror
