Hey guys-

I'm looking for a couple-three longer old-school Sugi Hara bars that use the old-style "saddle" nose/bar tip. Any mount is fine in lengths from 28" to 42". thanks...

@jacob j. What bar(s) did I send you when I had all those? Was one a 30" Sugi?

Yessir, I ended up with two of your 30" NOS bars I believe.

Yep, here's mine...View attachment 19274...it's got a nick in it, you can kind of see it in the picture. Not using this at all if your interested.

I'm interested...

I just had a thought. And old Sugi would be a good base to make one hell of a knife.

Absolutely. The old-school Sugis and Cannons had superb steel. My cousin has made many a custom knife and machete out of old Cannon bars. His dad (my uncle) was a long time falling contractor in 70's and 80's.

Right on! My memory served me correctly. Myrtle Creek Saw Shop as I recall.

One of my old teammates is a custom knife maker now. Wheels are starting to creak.
