FOUND IT Oil cap for 2101xp

Looking for an oil cap for my recently acquired 2101xp. IPLs show 2 different caps so not 100% on which I need. Not much local dealer support around me. TIA

Been a while. I think you need a vented cap.

Did you try ur fuel cap , on ur oil reservoir, my 2100,s use the same, but not sure they changed sizes on the 2101 ?

I have not. I assumed they would be different. But you know what they say about assuming! I'll give it a shot if I get a chance tonight.

The number for the oil cap is 501564504 which is a vented gray cap and not compatible with the fuel cap mentioned above (non-vented). The 2100 and 2101 had a vented fuel tank and unvented oil tank, hence the need for the two different caps. You can also use the slightly easier to find black version (501564501, 501564502, 501431301, or 501412501).
