I've heard the same thing about a dozen other cartridges. Guys always say a .243 is inadequate but my children have proven otherwise. There's never been a deer that was shot cleanly through the vitals and lived to tell about it.That’s one of those cartridges that’s definitely tried and proven. It’s also one that I’ve seen wound deer to the point that I’ve personally developed a hatred for. Lol. Don’t think I’ll ever get over it
Good morning boys.I've heard the same thing about a dozen other cartridges. Guys always say a .243 is inadequate but my children have proven otherwise. There's never been a deer that was shot cleanly through the vitals and lived to tell about it.
It's the UK. Just wait a minute or two.Morning no rain yet yippee
No doubt Howard. Those little hmr's will turn a squirrel inside out, heart shot deer would be certain death. I got a doe this year with my .223/ 55gr Vmax bullet. It really makes you slow down and pick your shot, definitely don't want to hit bone. No exit hole but her lungs were pudding and she staggered about ten yards before tipping over.Good morning boys.
Shot placement! My kid broke his neck and back two seasons ago in the woods. Had a tag for deer that year. Couldn’t shoot his.270 because of the amount of recoil. You would be amazed what a 17HMR will do! Like I said. Shot placement.
Beautiful picture.
No, but confidence is. And that’s really all that matters
