I have been told that opening the stock muffler is a must.

Yeah there's a cone baffle that has to go and you can add a second hole or go with one big one like Shaun does. Just the single factory outlet (opened up) is probably fine if it's left mostly stock.

Yes I have and have done up some knives for friends and me. Works pretty damn good. Getting them rods and stones level was a pain so I found a bigger box and left them together lol.

There ya go. Can bend the rod up or down a little after the initial tightening on a bench or table, to get ‘em on the same plane.

Yeah but it seems that after breaking everything back down and then getting them out again they needed adjustment. So I'll just leave them as is.
