Fellas I talked to mom and she just filled me in that she was able to get Lillian's medical files from her doctor after the court yesterday.

The doc is talking about the kiddo having nerve damage to her foot. I guess it's even been suggested amputate below the knee. WTF?

I'm a little shook over this news. He wants her to go to Salt Lake to see a specialist.

That's one of the reasons I want to get her here as soon as possible, Oisin. Our godmother works at one of the hospitals here and can get us in to see the right doctors.

She injured the inner foot--I still haven't gotten the full details. She ended up with a problem with the nerve going to the big toe.

I was thinking she would need therapy, a surgery and recovery time, but I guess this guy is suggesting it may be permanent damage.

This really sucks hopefully they can save her foot.

Nope. I found out after this whole thing blew up. My ex got to the point she was completely trying to keep me and my mom from contacting Lillian.

She'd hijacked her Facebook, had taken her phone away and claimed she was always gone when we'd try to call.

Thank goodness the police caught that Dall. She was threatening Lillian not to tell anything to any of us also.

The injury was from playing volleyball. The fact that she was neglected and not getting it cared for is definitely abuse.

The way my mom is telling me is that the ex made it worse by not getting it treated in time.

My bet is a cast put on it immediately may have prevented some of the long term damage.

It's not getting kicked down the road, per se. It's two different cases. One is for my mom to have guardianship and the other for custody.

She was arraigned last week and plead innocent. That will have an official trial, whereas the custody court is done at the city/district level.

I'm guessing that trial won't be right away. She has to wear an ankle monitor that reads blood alcohol though and an ignition breathalyzer.

I know their separate, I guess I was just hoping the criminal case comes through first so it acts as a big ol black durning the custody hearing. Or will they not allow that as evidence against her?
