Good evening, just put some stuff in the ponds to make the skeeters have dead baby's. Deer were following me, probably wondering why I was throwing doughnuts in the water. Lol

Hoping to get started with the hay next week here. It's still a little on the short side but already heading out.

Bumper crop down here. Amazed at how many rolls ive seen sitting in fields. Bush hogged the sons field 2 weeks ago. About killed my old worn out Allis Chalmers C with a 6' trailer Bush hog. Was almost chest high and THICK. He found a guy down the road that came and baled it, and says he'll cut and bale it for him. I think thats a fair deal. Its about 1.25 acres. Good fescue. Saves my old worn out tractor and some of my time.

I like the pines as yard trees for privacy and a wind block in the winter. I thought the Scotch pine were safe but now they're looking sick. Red pine are all dead/dieing, whites look fine.
Oak wilt will kill them all and fast. Don't prune them in warm weather if you can help it.

Yep, try to leave them alone unless I HAVE to take a dead limb or I'm felling. Part of the Problem we are having is some sort of little white aphid looking critter that is boring into them.

Got an odd phone call today...it was Jesse James Dupree...Jackyl lead singer and guitarist. I met him him years ago, we shared cell numbers, etc...he’s from up north of me in mid-Ga, he’s from above the Atlanta area, Kennesaw, Ga area. Pretty damn cool to talk with him....shot the *s-word for 30 min’s or so. He’s as damn down to earth as any mf’r on this planet.

Might be. I'll look into that. Little bastids will bite you if they get on you. Had one next to the garage where we have an attached lean-to and deck. Sap would rain out of it, and they would be aroumd there flying about. Would bite if you were trying to sit out at the table under that tree. I took it down back in February. It didnt look healthy, and we were hoping to stop or slow down whatever they were.

Good luck. Ive got an older Cannon 32 gun tall safe that works well for scoped long guns and smoothbores. It seems They have stopped making those. Probably because someone didnt bolt theirs down, and it got tipped over on someone during some sort of *f-wordery.
Son has a "wide body"Cannon 32 gun. Seems well made.

Gun safes with the fire rock lining, fire resistant and door seal seem to have less problems with moisture.
I like the old dial type combination instead of the electronic/ pushbutton.
