Do you live in a pine thicket?
Close to it.
Plenty of pines here. What you saw in the pics thats green is a young beech tree.
I thinned this place years ago, and still workimg to get the older pines and some other trees thinned enough to grow grass. Problem here is its all on a slope, and the previous owner put the house in the middle of the drainage.

Yep. Just cut some "bug wood" the other weekend.... And a couple I killed cause they wuz too close to the burn pile.
Personally, I dont care for pine trees. They make fair lumber, but thats about it.
My Red oaks seem to be dying off. That worries me more.

Dang Churkees!
Rust isnt as big a problem down here, but I feel your pain on the starter issues.
95 YJ is on the third starter since weve had it. Not hard to swap(as long as you has that E torx socket), but it just doesnt spin that little 2.5 4 banger like it should. Its still got 140 psi on all 4 cylinders with 230k+ miles. Maybe I need a better brand replacement starter, or find a good one and start rebuilding.

I like the pines as yard trees for privacy and a wind block in the winter. I thought the Scotch pine were safe but now they're looking sick. Red pine are all dead/dieing, whites look fine.
Oak wilt will kill them all and fast. Don't prune them in warm weather if you can help it.

Got an odd phone call today...it was Jesse James Dupree...Jackyl lead singer and guitarist. I met him him years ago, we shared cell numbers, etc...he’s from up north of me in mid-Ga, he’s from above the Atlanta area, Kennesaw, Ga area. Pretty damn cool to talk with him....shot the *s-word for 30 min’s or so. He’s as damn down to earth as any mf’r on this planet.
I remember him on full throttle saloon
People liked him
Most celebrities are *a-holes.
Friend was a chef at the greenbriar
A fancy restaurant
Had to deal with them.
