Good morning girls.
Time to make weldy weldy.
Nice thats its cool this morning.
Something happened to the big crane on site here yesterday. They took it totally boom down and replaced a section. Guy said the thing broke but couldn't see damage from our vantage point.they were humping getting it rigged back up

Morning All.

Good morning nuts, frost on the pumpkin of the truck again.

Here too, loving the clear blue skies but could use some heat.

Had a similar issue on a job here this winter. First crane snapped a cable and almost lost a load but thankfully no one was hurt. Fixed the crane lickity splitity but inspectors wouldn't certify it. Company told to get a new crane on site, they didn't have another one large enough got turfed from job (owner didn't want them anyway but the GC he hired awarded them the bid. Road adjacent to site closed for the weekend to remove old crane. Next weekend road closed again to move new crane in. During assembly on Sunday one of the drive motors was no go, Monday morning road doesn't open. The road they closed leads to one of 3 bridges that cross the river in to downtown, only about 30 000 cars / day use this road. Monday mechanics figure out what is wrong, need to replace a part that no one in North America has in stock. Germany is the only option, but it still took almost 10 days to get that crane up. Road closure costs must have been astronomical. First crane company was in financial trouble from the get go as their former CFO had stolen $4million from them.

Job has a guaranteed completion / occupancy of August 15, I am amazed to see it when I drive by but it looks like they will make it.

How many passes total on each of those? What size and type rods?

Just root and cover.
Using 7018 x 1/8".
Somewhere around 125 amps +-.
Looks like you got high at work today.:)

Here it is covered. Gotta do that about 6 more times, then go under for the overhead stuff.
