Nah, I'm old and boring. Had brunch at a local diner with my two grandmothers (very lucky to still have both, one is 86 and the other will be 92 the end of this month) helped Dad put the cover on his boat, cleaned a carburetor for a friends pressure washer, and had supper with family (homemade Spaghetti and Ceasar Salad). Oh, and tried to help a friend (former coworker) diagnose her 7.3L PSD that shut off and left her stuck on the side of the road over text message.

My brother traded for a very nice ford 7.3
Less than 13000 miles looked new never been off-road.
In the two weeks he owned it i had to go pick him up 5-6 time's when it stopped running.
I went through the whole truck and never found what was wrong.
Oddly even though it was checked for alignment it was ripping chunks of the inner front tires out.
The dealer changed injectors twice and about every sensor on it.
He even took it to another dealer
Finally he gave my brother's trade in back.
I offered the dealer 500.00 for it I would've
Put my 400 smallblock in it.

No. She finished it based(loosely) on temp and experience. Her and her mom make candies and syrups so she has a pretty good idea of what she's looking for. Without a hydrometer we agreed that we wouldn't consider it shelf stable.
Should be fine. Plenty of people do it that way and store it in the freezer.

Good morning men. Apparently we were pretty excited about sharing the syrup.

Lots of little jars and bottles. No idea on exact yield but a quick glance tells me between three and four quarts total. We got ~32 gallons of sap processed. Not nearly what I see a lot of people do but plenty for us and it looks like we'll be doing it next Sunday again. The color is lighter than a lot of the local stuff I've bought and it tastes less intense. That's fine with me.

I was willing to keep going(we had about five gallons of sap left) but she didn't want to handle boiling liquid after dark. I was alright with that.
I don't know anyone doing syrup
But a woman i worked with 25 year's ago has a massive bee farm and hunts me down every year she's relentless and always
Has a literal truckload of honey.
She even found where I moved to six year's ago
So I always buy a few quarts.

My lady attended some beekeeping symposium and won a bunch of *s-word and some bees. So that should be firing up pretty soon too.
