Similar to soft maple. Rates as non durable outdoors. Which is not as bad as it sounds. It just means you have to protect it with varnish. Most wood not named locust, cedar, white oak are rated non durable outdoors.Don’t know much about sycamore
How would it be for carving and how will it hold up outside

Wife bought one about a year ago. We use it a couple times a week! Unreal how it works.Any of you fr’s or your ol’ ladies ever fooled with one of these Instant Pots? This is a an 8 qt Ultra...from doing some reading online, the Ultra has worked the bugs out of the Lux and Duo models that preceded it. Friend of mine paid $145 for it...I got it for $75...never been used. He never even run the initial steam/pressure test...we shall see. It’s a 10-1 pressure cooker, crock pot, does a bunch of other crazy *s-wordt I’ll prob never use, with the exception of hard-boiled eggs.
Talk to me if you’ve used one of these things...seems like it’s a well built deal...it’s pretty solid!
