Any of you fr’s or your ol’ ladies ever fooled with one of these Instant Pots? This is a an 8 qt Ultra...from doing some reading online, the Ultra has worked the bugs out of the Lux and Duo models that preceded it. Friend of mine paid $145 for it...I got it for $75...never been used. He never even run the initial steam/pressure test...we shall see. It’s a 10-1 pressure cooker, crock pot, does a bunch of other crazy *s-wordt I’ll prob never use, with the exception of hard-boiled eggs.

Talk to me if you’ve used one of these things...seems like it’s a well built deal...it’s pretty solid!

Wife used “points” to get one for $35 or something. Keeps promising to make me things in it (once I read the instructions and teachbher how to use it. Apparently she’s afraid of it...).

It may help grow it faster, but I can't believe it's instant.

Looks good tor
I'd spray something to seal the wood and prevent termites
before I'd button it up.
The log house's here have to be treated occasionally.
we only have one type ants who can do damage around where I live, Dave
Them ants prefer half rotten wood. I wonder if its still possible to get some old stuff named tar

Dump a family pack of chicken boobs in there with a jar or 2 of your salsa of choice. Set it to high pressure for 15 minutes. After cooking let the pressure release naturally for about 10 minutes then pop that steam cherry. Remove lid and shred with forks and Boom frenching tacos for a month. I usually vacuum seal a bunch and freeze it. Hard boiled eggs are good in it too.

Just finished cooking a monster sirloin on the grill, while it was resting i was doing dishes and look out on the porch: there is a big old fat black bear waltzing up to towards the grill. Had to be at least 450 lbs. i’ll try to get a pic from the security cameras. I say “Bear, bear, bear” to alerts the others as the spousal unit was about to let the puppies out to potty. Dog barks, he changes his mind about the grill and goes sauntering off across the yard. I was about 10’ away from him.
