One of my guy's used to spend hour's
In the bathroom
We filled his lunchbox with expanding foam
He was better at working after that.

When we lived in base housing Beaufort, SC, we had a neighbor who worked on the rifle range at Parris Island. He had to be at work at 0400 everyday, so he drove by the house around 0300-0310. That’s all fine and well except he drove a POS Honda with one of those stupid wet-fart exhausts with a ginormous tip. Every morning it would wake up the neighborhood dogs, which in turn woke up everyone else. One weekend I strolled over and had a conversation with the young lad. I asked politely for him to be neighborly and keep it down while en route to work in the morning. He replied “No, I don’t have to keep it down”. I reminded him that there were noise ordinances on base and that a little respect of the neighbors goes a long way. He laughed and said “I have a couple friends who work PMO, I ain’t worried”. That Monday morning as he drove by he wound up that little Honda and let it bounce off rev-limiter on his way by. I gave him the benefit of the doubt to get a little rebellion out of his system. Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning he did it again. Wednesday afternoon I walked over and told him straight up to knock the schitt off. We were both fully aware that I outranked him, but I didn’t pull rank. He told me straight to my face to “Fuuk off”. Ok, you want to play that game? Works for me.

I picked up a can of expanding foam and utilized some straw like tubing I had at the house. Around mid-night I walked over to his house, shoved as much tubing as I could into the *s-wordty-ass expensive exhaust and emptied the entire can of expanding foam.

He was not only late for work (and most likely written up for it) but he had a nice, quiet, stock exhaust on the car by the weekend and we never had anymore issues.

Funny thing is at that time I had the Duster. 600 hp stroker small block through ceramic coated 1 7/8 headers to 3” collectors and full 3” stainless exhaust with 20 series Flowmasters. It was LOUD. I knew the schedules of all the neighbors and their kids, so we never fired it up during nap times or sleep intervals. If we went out to a car show I would let them know and try to make it back before 2300 and shut it off down the block and coasted into the driveway. A little consideration goes a LOOOONG way.

Did a similar thing but with a big tater and a broomstick as a ram rod years ago with similar results. Lol

It's called respect, some folks come by it easy, some, not so much.
