Lordy I am tired!! So George (my buddy who got smacked by a tree) is home. He got home from the hospital on Friday (17 days ICU and 4 days in a recovery ward) and his septic crapped out. So, had to find a septic service to come out on short notice. Got it pumped out and the toilets working again today. He has Dr appointments tomorrow Morning so I gave them my truck to use (his driveway is almost 1/4 mile long and steep/rutted the whole way) so they can go for a follow up tomorrow morning. It easier to use the Explorer with 4 wheel Indedependant suspension and working A/C to get around than his F350.

Glad to hear he made it home!
Damn fine of you to help out. God bless you!
Some day you might need some help, and I hope someone there remembers what you did. I will.

I have been in the unfortunate position of being in similar circumstances as him, as well as being in the circumstance as his fiancee. It is rare to have been on both sides of the coin. So I find myself in the unique position of being able to give first hand advice from actually being both parties. People looked out for me and my family when when I was down and out and hospitalized. I have also been the support contact for someone’s family when they were in the same boat. Been there done that. So i can provide insight, know what he is going to require, know what the family is goi g through and how to support them. Its a rare opportunity to have such such personal insight and do one’s best to affect the outcome of a schitt situation.

i am not a religious man, but i’ll be damned if I will co test the power of people’s prayers in a situation like this. So, once again, I thank everyone who said a kind word and kept George and his family in yojr thoughts and prayers. The poor bastard had less than 20% chance of pulling through and is doing so much better than the Docs of anyone else thought he would. I am forever humbly in your debt.
