Went back to where i used to live
These are my old neighbors
And family friends
That black oak is almost done
It's got a few year's left.
I gave them a number for a friend that'll
Climb and trim it
Or if they want it down to call me.
It was topped by his great grandfather
80 some year's ago
It would have blown over by now if he hadn't.
This is the third house that's set in this spot
Since the 1800s
Multiple generations have lived here.
I stood there in the yard
over 2 hour's talking
To them in 94* heat.
They haven't left the house in three months
And they like to talk
They are in very poor health.
Sally 2 Sally one died since I moved
Visited dad he's been gone since 92
That maple has heart rot
Still healthy but will be a pain to deal with.
Two of these came out of the woods wanted to play.
