Morning nutsacks.
Its already 75 here. Pretty sure I might melt.

Seeing we are on a music kick, I'd say my most played list is Pantera, Slayer, Slipknot, Lamb of God, and White Zombie (not Rob, his old stuff).

Should have gone to see Slayer on their last tour. Dragged my feet then couldn't get tickets.

Thinking of family that served today.
Uncle was WW2 vet. He followed Patton, captured and held in a German POW camp for 90 days.
Another uncle did 3 tours Vietnam.
My FIL was a P38 mechanic in WW2 served in New Guinea then 30+ years wrenching for Delta.

Music, saw Deep Purple in early 70s, Marshall Tucker, Ted Nugent in 77, first date with my wife was a Moody Blues concert and talked with Greg Allman a few times. Guitars and fishing he was a laid back quiet guy.

Older Country Music, or "Outlaw Country" is ok with me.

I absolutely hate "New Country Music".

on this we can agree.

Turns out the answer was, no one.
A very unpopular opinion.....

But

I think AC/DC is one of the worst bands ever.

As kids our parents hated it, so we loved it! Lol

Little bit of Rob Zombie with Slipknot. Rob is badass live. Makes Ozzy look silly imo.

Rob Zombie is very talented musically, his style is harder to take visually.

Good morning. Back in the 90's when No Doubt was brand new I saw them open at two different shows. To this day Gwen Stefani was one of the best entertainers I've seen. The girl had tons of energy and could really work a crowd. Laugh if you want.

Couple years ago we saw Willie over at DTE. It was cool but he looked pretty rough, like they just keep him on the bus sleeping and send him out on stage for an hour a night then return him to bed. Nathaniel Rateliff opened, really a great show. There's a Zydeco band from up @cus_deluxe 's way that's always a great time. K. Jones and the Benzie Playboys. In the right setting almost any music can be enjoyable.

Who doesn't like Gwen Stefani?

I would not pay to watch em perform.
Personally I'm more a fan of Grunge Rock - Pearl Jam, Nirvana etc. If my mem is correct PJ is the only one left of the classy grunge bands.
There is another band I would like to see live if they ever come back to Norway, RHCP, special since John Frusciantes has returned as guitarist.

I'm finding myself a lot more tolerant of this genre as I get older. In the day though I was the complete opposite of the fans.
Was hard to find a place to land after rock fractured.

Tool is cool. I'm game this year. No one mentioned STP or the Foo Fighters. FWM we have seen most of the Rumors album live at one time or another. She likes them. Stevies not bad to see or hear, just sayin. Carlos never disappoints when he's in town and we can sit outback outside and hear plus still see the big screen. The venue is on the river, right next to the marina and park. Big ass Battleship tosses the sound right back at ya if your in your boat but you can get close on the river front outback so they both work. My one daughter enjoyed the big amps before she was born. They have inside and lawn seating with a serious permanent sound system. They crank the place up on!

New Countrypop is terrible imo. Johnny Cash now that is a different thing entirely. CDB is not to shabby. You can keep anybody around on the road if they just show up. The Stones we haven't done yet. That will be interesting to see those groupies.

Almost liked a post about country but had to resist, must resist

He's very attached to the saw.
Looks about used up.
I have one here missing a carb and needs a piston, maybe seals. Light scuffs in the jug. Never messed with it. No profit margin more than likely after parts.
Sposed to be in the 80's here later in the week with plenty of humidity.

Country music is sickening to my ear's.
Most of it is pretty bad now.

Fun game for that guy who should have paid his auto or truck repair bill. But instead he got a court order to have his primary vehicle return free of charge or so it seemed :D
You think that was a *s-wordty morning for some people? ;)

I met Ted Nugent at a hunting lodge one time back in the late 90s. I was making a delivery.....

The guy who owned the place invited me to meet Ted. I was unimpressed. He was loud, rude, and full of himself.

There's a deer farm here and one of my buddies brother in law works there so he invited them over to meet Ted Nugent when he was filming a hunting show. So while they are there, Ol' Ted reaches over and cops a feel of his wife's ass and she doesn't utter a peep for fear that her husband would knock out Ted Nugent. Only days afterward my friend was told what happened and yes Ted was spared. Lol

Both of Grandpas brothers served in WW2. If you ever asked them about it. They would just politely shake there head no and that was it. Grandpa said they spoke of it briefly once or twice in there entire lives. What these men saw and experienced hopefully will never happen again. Thanks to all who served and to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice.
